Is there anywhere where I could get a poster or picture or painting that I could hang on my wall of various boardgames? My walls are kinda barren and I would like to spruce them up with some art, and since I am obsessed interested in boardgames I thought maybe I would hang up a poster of Puerto Rico or Ra or Twilight Imperium or something. Any suggestions?

This site needs a forum where we can put the faux offended so we can ignore them.

I love these posters. I have Manhattan, Dixit and Carcassonne on my wall and they are amazing. :-)

I remember reading somewhere around here that some folks frame game boards and hang them on the wall until they are needed for play.

My husband had two very old kids board games from the 80s he'd held onto for years. The boxes were so horribly beat up that one day I grabbed some cardboard we had floating around and built a new box to hold them, complete with printout of the box covers courtesy of BGG. The original box tops were carefully cut out and brought to Michael's for framing.

It's easily my favorite framed piece of artwork in the house. The downside is you have to be willing to sacrifice a game box.

Laura

P.S. I would totally do a framed board game.

I was just discussing with my friends my idea to do a kickstarter featuring paintings based on boardgames. One of them thought I would run into trademark-infringing territory and so I gave up on that.

That's prolly why those other posters are so abstract.

Since they have fond memories from my youth but I'll never play them again.

Wood glue to assemble, finishing nails to hang. .50 - $2.00 at thrift.
