From the Clash of Arms Game Company Support Forum on Consimworld:

Quote:
Attention BAR Lobositz fans:

Antonio informs us that the VASSAL module for this game is now ready. This module is extra special because it contains the expansion map which has not been made available yet in hard copy, or anywhere else for that matter.

Hopefully Antonio or Andy at LYG will chime in soon informing us that it is available for download.

And maybe give us a look at that grand map....

Some additional information from Mathew Hinkle on the BAR forum:

Quote:
It had been made known that Lobositz for VASSAL was being made, but the part about including the map extension was kept 'hush hush' until Ed's unveiling of it. I provided Antonio (the VASSAL designer) with a rules sheet with all of the necessary information for playing with the new map and units. That rules sheet is part of the module. Once the module is posted I will likely offer a pdf of these rules here so players can print it out.

Do note that ownership of Lobositz is still necessary to play this module. All of the Lobositz special rules that are not superseded by the new Lobositz extension are still in force. Fortunately COAG has copies of Lobositz in stock!

Aside from the map extension (which does away with the painful off-map setup display) there are new 'breakdown' counters to allow for more flexibility with hussars and skirmishers. There is also a new, third scenario and new victory conditions.

If Prague is ever released, the plan is still to include a hard copy of the map extension as well as the new counters and a full set of revised Lobositz rules.

There are more good things in store for the BAR, including more 'hush hush' stuff. Get your dice out--this system is back from the dead! (No, that is not a reference to the upcoming "Havana 1763: Spaniards vs. Zombies" game.)

Here's an idea of how the whole thing looks, courtesy of Tim Schleif.
