I'm here on BGG about 3 times a day...I'm on facebook about once a month.

It's really your choice but I'd be surprised if you get more support from facebook than BGG.

Either way I'm excited this one is coming about!

QFT. Very interested in the game, of course, and I'll support it, as I promised Oliver. But I don't do the Facebook.

Look before you leap. Yes, the rules are posted there and we have them up on the Kickstarter page to (which is hidden until it launches).

Rest assured, the rules are and will remain available.

It would help me if you could announce what the cost will be to support it. I'm trying to budget for next month and, as much as I want to back Hegemonic, I'm not sure I can do it without planning for it now.

My guess (vague thought it is): $50-100

That's about how much games with similar pieces cost.

Good question as we're concerned too about being so close to the holidays and all. The min buy-in is $69 and rewards can drive that up to $100.

Now a question for you guys... we were considering adding a LARGER HEX as a stretch goal option. Right now the hexes are 40mm on edge which is smaller then Catan and work just fine. They keep the footprint smaller on the table. All the pictures you seen of the game are of this size. So is there any real interest in a stretch goal to make them 45mm on edge (Catan sized)?

I like bigger tiles, but if the option is there to keep it small and do something different for stretch goals I would vote for that.

Minimum price is $69 plus shipping on top of that? Yikes. Maybe my vote won't matter.

$69 includes USA shipping. It's a heavy game and will cost a lot to ship outside the USA.

No, I'm fairly sure the $69 KS price will INCLUDE shipping within the US, with additional up-charges for shipping to Canada or Worldwide.

EDIT:

ninja'd by my Publisher!

Since you seem to be from Canada, expect to pay about $25 more. I hope to have that rate for Europe too. The rest of the world will suffer from global shipping costs

I appreciate knowing these numbers in advance (lessens the shock). I don't doubt the price is good for what we get. I do think it's time my game group started chipping in a bit because I'm their main supplier for all these wonderful games . . .

Here is a preview of the kickstarter page... I welcome input before it's launched near the end of this month. Obviously we'll be adding videos yet. Things are still subject to change.

I'd prefer a smaller footprint, personally. My table isn't very big.

I'm getting a 404 trying to follow the above link. If (as you say) the hexes work fine at 4cm, I don't know that I'd care to enlarge them. Table space is a real concern.

BGG has a nasty habit (security?) of removing the trailing parameter:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/miniongames/322668260?re...

add this to the end of the link above: ?token=0d849aad

And yes the game is perfectly fine with the smaller hexes and so I'm leaning toward removing that as a stretch goal.

You have some very cool ideas for Stretch Rewards. One I'm particularly fond of is the layered Player Board. Would it be possible to make a layered game board which would hold the various individual Sector tiles so they would stay in place better on the map?

I would ask if the Sector Tiles could have indentations for the bits too but that might be way crazy...as well as costly

One more idea: anything which could be 'layered' could also be 'cut-out'. this might lead to cost savings...?
