Hi, I have a rules question that I didn't see answered in the limited rulebook. Normally, chicken #1 is hit by Louie and falls into the barn, making chicken #2 the next available chicken. Several times during our play last night, Louie would get smacked so hard across the board, he would hit chicken #1, squeezing the row and making chicken #3 pop out the back. Chicken #1 and #2 would simply roll back into place atop the barn, avoiding elimination.

Does this player lose chicken #3? Or does it only count if the chicken falls through the slot into the barn?

Hmm, that happens when we play sometimes, but it's the first chicken usually, not the third. We just use a rule of thumb that if a chicken leaves the coop for any reason it's out of play. Barring out right cheating of course. Really depends on players, especially if they are kids.

We call that a louiecide, if you lose a chicken yourself - tough luck. Part of the skill of the game is finesse. There is a little tab on the left side you can hold with your left hand to steady your barn.
