January Osaka Game Day

Date: Sunday, January 6th
Time: 9:30am to 9:30pm
Place: Naniwa-kumin Center
Map: Directions can be found here.
Participation fees: 500yen
Room capacity: 20 people

Seeing in the new year with a games day! This will be the first time to meet up after Christmas for many of us so the theme of the day is....

Show us your new stuff!!

I am sure that some games and expansions will be exchanging hands during the primary gifting period. Bring along your newly acquired boxes to show off to the people. Or just bring it along so that we can play with it, either way is fine.

Any type of game is fine, use the geeklist (link below) to put up what you are thinking of bringing and gauge interest. We have a fairly big room this month so there should be plenty of space for games and gamers alike.

On a personal note, I will be arriving back in Osaka late on the 4th so I may not be in the best state to host this one. I may need a little help at the beginning and/or end of the day if my spirits flag. Thank you.

I'll be returning from the US to Osaka that very day around 5pm. I will try to make it out to wish Julien bon voyage. How late will you be there that day Julien?

I don't know yet. It depends on the state of the appartment and what remains to be done before the movers come. I'll keep in mind that it's better for me to arrive late and leave late, if time is limited, so that I can meet you.

Monique and I will be coming down! Maybe try to stay the night of the 5th and then head back after. What's your plan Raygan?

edit: compulsively spelled Raygan as Raygun and didn't change it

Had a great time. Wanted to thank everyone for bringing in so many cool games. Stoked I got to play Mage Knight and Eclipse and yet still gutted I didn't have enough time for Legendary and Flashpoint!

There's never enough time to play everything, is there? I's too bad we didn't get to play anything together. Perhaps next time?

So about 20 people made it yesterday and the following games were played

Pirate dice
King of Tokyo (with Power up! expansion)
Love letter
Glory to Rome (Black Box)
Erosion
Mage knight
Timeline
Space cadets
Last night on earth, timber peak
Eclipse
Civilization
X-wing
Arkham horror
Android netrunner

As well as a prototype or 2 I believe.

Thanks to all who made it out, look forward to seeing you in February. Watch the boards for details.
