Well my cookie-cutter making kit has arrived already (amazing service - ordered it December 8th and it arrived Dec 16th - that's from the US to Australia). Now it's time to make Meeple Gingerbread ... once I find a suitable shape, that is.

Does anyone have a large image (I'm thinking around 8-10 cm) of a Meeple shape? Either from regular Carcassonne or from Hunters and Gatherers. I need something I can place flat on the work board underneath the copper so I can bend it to the right shape to make my cookie cutter.

I've looked at the images on the Geek and none of them are large enough or clear enough for this to work.

I promise to post cookie pictures once I get the cutter assembled!

It's a tad out of focus... but not an easy shot either.

At least the shape is still smooth though and not pixelated.

Can you please post a link to the cookie cutter maker? This sounds like a really great idea!

Also, I was thinking a Settlers of Catan cookie tray [with hex-shaped cookies with frosting landscapes] would be neat for a gamer party.

Edit: I just found this place that sells kits to print pictures on frosting right from your own computer. (Kits start at $179 that include the printer, but you can use regular Canon printers to do this.) Okay - the wheels are really turning now... >runs off to secret lab<

Edit 2: I found the cookie cutter kits: http://www.foosecookiecutters.com/store/cutterkits/

I made my icon using a rather large handmade template. This might be of use to you.

Check out http://www.genimuse.com/journals/covers.htm This page contains some meeple covers that might be a good starting point. You can enlarge them in your favorite painting program or print them and enlarge them with a photo copier.

Good luck and bon appetite.

I believe that you can find cake shops with access to those kits that will happily print the frosting pictures for you (at a cost, of course, but somewhat less than $179...).

That's the place I got my cookie cutter kit from. Great service, as I said. They say the kit makes about 6 cookie cutters, so I'm thinking about what other shapes I might want to make.

Not sure how they'd last the trip to the US but I'm happy to give it a go if you PM me your address

I also made gaming cupcakes last year for a friend's birthday, which I think I have posted here before but here we go anyway: http://www.rogerson.com.au/boardgames/cupcakes.html

Ah c'mon Laura, you know if they were Werewolf-shaped cookies you'd be doing it yourself

And here it is!

Bending the copper wasn't easy, so the shape isn't perfect, but I think it's recognisable.

It's "setting" in the oven now. Tonight, I make cookies for my Sekrit Santa Buddy.

and for anyone else who wants them and is willing to risk the postal service ... just PM me your address

Mmmm. First batch of gingerbread Meeples are done.

The gingerbreads don't look as wonky as the cutter did (to me). This is a very inexact science.

Fraser got the official taste test. He tells me they pass.
