A.) Every time you search a police car, keep going through the deck until you hit a weapon. You may do this every player turn.

This is what it means, although every Survivor can search a Police car in a Player turn if they are able. There is no restriction on the number of times a police car may be searched in a turn.

To clarify what has been posted above:

Each player may search a police car as their one search per turn action, and the police car may be searched multiple times, by multiple survivors in a single turn and/or by one or more survivors over multiple turns.

And, when a police car is searched, the player controlling the survivor that is searching the police car, turns cards, from the top of the equipment deck, over one at a time, until they reach a weapon, the survivor may then keep that weapon and the player stops turning over equipment cards.

The player also stops turning over equipment cards, and a walker zombie is placed in the zone where the police car is, if an AAARGH! card is revealed.

NOTE: you essentially ignore the Flashlight when searching police cars and only keep the first weapon found.

It's really useful in some missions but should be used with caution as you can end up throwing away good stuff like hockey mask, plenty of ammo etc. I played in one game (with Scott!) where we had to keep searching to burn through the deck as we'd thrown away all the gasoline and glass bottles!
