Not exactly a board game, but if you haven't tried Space Team yet - do it. Hella fun.
A great warm up/filler at your next board game night.

I watched as some friends were playing this. Pretty cool!

Anyone know if anything like this is available for Android?

Space Team is indeed very fun.

I've yet to play 4 players but I can't wait to.

I've only done 2 and 3 players, but it is a pretty fun distraction, and can entertain those watching too.

Very cool game. Would be interesting if someone created a real multi-station spaceship sim for networked devices, say 4 iPads, in which each person runs a station.
They do have that. It is called Artemis. http://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/15350/ios-news-big-release...

iOS News: Big Releases Begin...Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, Stone Age, and Piecepack tonight.

I might be falling for the joke, but maybe not. If you're not aware, then check out Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator.

Enjoy!

Space Team looks like awesome fun. Got it installed on our devices, and I'm hoping to try it at game night this week (with beers!).

My group has loved Artemis for a long time. It's a really great sim, and I encourage everyone to give it a shot.

I hope these two games are going to set a trend in computer/mobile games. They seem to fall into the Dani Bunten theory of game design.

Is Space Team any good with just two people?

The goal would be to eventually play with three or four, but my wife is my most common gaming partner, by far.

Yes but don't take my word for it, it's free

I do hate having to flip the device for wormholes, too easy to hit another button and kill the game

2 player Space team is definately fun. You can get into a really nice flow.
But yes it's completely free, so no reason to not try it. That's how I lure people into it. devil That being said i've spent money on the dlc. all symbol mode is a blast.

I've started getting into Artemis this last week. I've only played it 2 players and it's incredibly fun. I can certainly see it being even better with more people. They released a new version in the last couple days which adds and fixes alot of things that will make things even better.

Any Android games that are similar to Spaceteam or Artemis?

I'm trying to make my Space Alert game into it (since sadly, my group didn't care for it. I also wasn't a big fan).

There are plenty of calls for an android client of Artemis but nothing as of yet.
