Quote:
Players familiar with the previous English-language edition of Letters from Whitechapel (published by Nexus Games in 2011) may be wondering what, if anything, is different about this revised edition. In short, certain components have been altered based on player feedback.

The Jack the Ripper Screen has been improved. The map is bigger, and the chart of the Special Movement tokens is now shown on it, so players don’t have to look at the rulebook during the game. The new physical design allows the screen to stand up by itself and better protect the secret information of Jack from the other players.
The Women, Patrol, and Time of the Crime tokens are now wooden, giving them increased durability.
Some of the plastic markers now are different colors to help them stand out more on the game board. The Clue markers are now yellow and the False Clue markers are blue.
The Letters’ effects are now described in detail on the components themselves, so players don’t have to refer to the rulebook during the game to use them.
The rules of the game are unchanged, but the official errata have been integrated into the rulebook.

Will Jack escape justice, surviving to kill again, or can the police put a stop to history’s most notorious killer? Find out in Letters from Whitechapel!

Perhaps Cobblepot got them to publish it in the US.

Dang, man! Releasing through FFG was completely unexpected.

Any news on when the Whitechapel LCG will be coming out?

On the box it says "revised edition" as well - I hope they don't change too much and just clarify things a little more.

Either way I plan on picking this up.

Best part about this announcement by far. I have no idea what the original designers were thinking when they used clear clue tokens.

Actually you can make out the Cobblepot logo on the FFG box (bottom left corner of cover).

I wonder if there will be an update pack for owners of the original?

The new wooden tokens, while more basic looking, will be far more durable.

I'd be surprised if they did that. (pleasantly of course).

Yes, but there's a downside. Differences in the wood grain may allow people to differentiate the tokens while they are hidden.

Probably be released right after the Escape from Whitechapel miniature combat game is released.

That being said, I can't wait to get my hands on this game finally.

Possibly, but the cardboard tokens in the original showed wear everso quickly.

Easy fix. Time to tip the tiddly winks jar out, and count myself a new set.

Really? I have ZERO noticeable wear on my tokens. The new player screen is cool, and the non-clear tokens will be much easier...but the wood tokens just don't seem like that big a deal. If anything, they're a little clunky looking to me (although they're on the board for 2 minutes, so no big I guess).

Agreed. The player screen is the biggest upgrade, but I don't necessarily mind the old one....although it can be very easy to tear if one isn't careful..

It's been awhile since I pulled Whitechapel out, but maybe I'll see if I can get it to the table this weekend while my sister is in town.
