There are occasions when I see that other users have incorrectly added an eBay listing to a games page, e.g. an expansion is added to the core game. I understand errors occur (I make enough of them myself after all) and generally I just ignore them.

However, I've recently noticed an increase in the number of mis-posted listings and was wondering whether there is a procedure for managing this?
For instance, is there a way to send a friendly note to the users in question and point out the issue? I know I would appreciate such notices if I inadvertently posted an incorrect listing.

Thanks.

Send a note to Octavian, and he'll make corrections.

I suspect that some of them are just mining for GG, and sometimes I wonder if someone is using an automated script of some type, the errors can be pretty glaring.

You can also use the Corrections button to submit them to the Corrections queue. Just identify what eBay links need to be killed and an admin (me) will take care of it.

There used to be a corrections button in the Ebay module. Any chance that will ever be reimplimented?

I know, it's on the list.

Upper right on a game page, just under "Fans: x" and "Become a Fan".

Thanks for the info. Occasionally I spot these as well.

It should be visible on every record across the geek. Any correction has to be approved by the relevant admin.

That link has nothing to do with ebay actions, as they don't show up to say "this one is wrong"; it is for data about the actual game itself.

So I'd just put the correction in the 'notes to admin' identifying which ebay link needs to go.

Yep, that's what I do.

I use that correction link and write "Wrong ebay link:..." and then the name of the link.

Of course it would be easier if we could directly identify a specific incorrect ebay, like we can do for the weblink section.

Correct, there is no specific corrections for eBay links. The general corrections button is the best I have to work with, so it will have to do.
