2 player game between me "P" and my wife "J". The monsters will be "M".
P started with a bow and a skeleton key.
J started with the axe and armor.
(We played a few turns before I started recording details. So after a few turns...)
P didn't get any treasure for a while and then finally got... another bow.
J found a lvl 3 dragon... P helps in exchange for the locked chest.
J rolls 7 + armor and P rolls 8. M rolls 17 and has gust.
Armor turns 6 into 3 so we win, which triggers gust.
J 9 + P 4 = 13 which beats M 11.
P got healing armor from the locked chest.
Score: J1 - P1
P hunts a ghost and witch (halloween!) and chooses witch in the hopes of the locked chest.
Witch is lvl 3. J helps for 50% chance at the treasure plus P's spare bow.
J 7 + P 4 vs M 8 plus a spell.
M got 4 on fireball.
P shielded it down to 3. Tie.
J won the rolloff for the treasure and since she didn't have a key she got a regular spear.
Score: J1 - P2
(Already we both think this is MUCH cooler than the demo pnp.)
J faced a lvl 1 spider. Killed it easy. Got a strength potion.
P hunted spider and skeleton, chose skel. Lvl 3.
P offered J the skel key and half chance at treasure if she helps.
J 9 + spear + armor + P 8 + armor vs M sword + 16 (including 2 extra potions).
M rerolls a 4 into a 3. We win.
P gets heal and key, uses the heal.
J got a sword.
Score: J 1 - P 3
J rests to fully heal.
P hunts fire elemental and spider, chooses fire elem. Lvl 2.
M rolls 8 vs P rolled lots more than 8.
P got healing potion and whip.
J finds a snake lvl 2. She chooses axe and sword. Goes it alone.
J 9 vs M 2.
J gets healing potion.
P hunts fire elem and golem, tries golem and gets unguarded treasure.
P gets sword.
J hunts fire elem and snake, chooses fire elem. It's lvl 2.
M 14 vs J 10.
J loses and uses healing potion.
P switches to sword and whip. Finds a lvl 1 slime.
P wins handily.
P finds a bomb.
(By this point, we've both leveled up completely. Without the XP gain, we're finding the game slowing down a bit as we're hunting for fame)
J finds lvl 3 ghost. P helps for the chest.
We get 28 vs M 11.
P heals and draws shield.
Score: J 2 - P 3
(J also has enough treasures to get another fame point.)
P finds lvl 3 goblin.
P 9 vs M 10.
P uses shield to turn 5 into 1.
M uses sword to turn 1 into 6.
P tangles M's 1 and uses bomb for 1.
At this point P would tie which would still give him his 4th fame point for the win, but he throws in a fire spell for an extra 3 to avoid damage and win even more gloriously.
Final score: J2 - P4
This is closer than it looks because if J had gotten a 3rd fame point then she could have traded in 5 treasures for another fame for the win. So she was really only 1 point behind.
Just as we felt the game starting to bog down, it ended two turns later. So that worked out fine. In the end we both enjoyed it. It is quick and fun and light enough to play even when sleepy after a long week of work.
