When teaching the game to my 12 year old, who is a competent gamer, but who does better when taught the rules in chunks, as opposed to all at once, we played it without superheroes to start with ...

... and haven't played it with superheroes since.

Might just be us, but we prefer it that way.

Anyone else?

Nope. They're one of the things that makes the game a little different each time, encouraging you to vary your strategy from play to play.
Without them, the game has less depth.

It seems to fit with learning it in chunks to first play without and then add them. Some heroes like batman, superman or the flash are nt too complicated

If you like playing without a superhero power, just use Flash (rimshot)

Sometimes I play without superheroes. I always pick one to play with, but then I forget that I have it or what it does.

There does seem to be a general agreement that Flash's is the weakest power.
I wonder if he'd be okay if his power were simply that you draw a 6-card hand instead of 5? Or would that be too good?

We always played with the Superheros. Like said above, it makes every game different, and that's what we like.

About Flash: We're playing it, that EVERY Card that let him draw a card, gives him him an additional one. Otherwise, he would just be a weaker version of Cyborg.
