Subject: Questions on retreating through enemy ZOC's rss

Couple of questions for this fine game:

1) A unit that suffers a retreat in combat, can it retreat through enemy zones of control?
One of the rules says you can't move directly from one enemy ZOC to another, so that would seem to answer 'No,' but I'm not sure.

2) Do friendly units block enemy ZOC's when retreating?
