Who picked Apollo? I was leaning towards that pick, but I don't see where someone already grabbed it.

Sorry, I was confusing 324 and 325. Both are picking characters at the moment.

No worries, thought I was missing something.

In that case, I'll give Apollo a try. I'll draw 1 each of Tactics, Piloting, and Politics.

I've never played Kat before, but man...are we really going to have 5 piloting cards in circulation?? No one really jumps out at me, besides the Chief.

I think Kat is the irresponsible choice...so I'll go with the Chief.

2 Lea / 1 Pol for starting draw, please!

The game has started.

Roslin is President. Helo is the stranded Admiral.

Apollo, I placed you in Sector 5 (or rather the spreadsheet did). If you would like to start in Sector 6 just say the word.

I wish everybody a good flight!

Okay, first turn.

Roslin is usually particularly good at delegating; in general you can expect me to hand out an XO. However, I see no reason to give an XO to someone who needs it to move first; you better move for free with your Movement Step.

So, I am considering getting a few Quorum Cards by dumping two cheap skill cards to activate the Office.

However, I'll give you all a chance to weigh in. If you have a proposal for a good double action, let me know.

I usually start off my Roslin games by pitching some CP's for a Quorum hand. There's no urgent situations in space or on ship so an office use followed by some title card draws seem a good way to start.

"Reporting for duty! Well...I'll just be here tuning this and let me...uh....I have no idea what I'm doing."

Mediocre target for an XO for sure...But it's only Lt. Dualla and me on the Old Girl right now...and the LT is probably better off staying put. So if we intend on firing at the Cylons, someone needs to get to Weaps or Pegasus.
Editted to say: Yes..Roslin, that's probably the call.

Hello, flunkies of the Quorum! I was rummaging through my desk this morning, and found this piece of paper signed by y'all. It seems you have decided to grant me some liberties. Or perhaps you granted those liberties to Adar, who can tell? It just says that the Prez can do some stuff.

Now, I have to say that this has me worried. Do you people really believe that I need your permission to take action? Maybe that democratic nonsense was flying under Adar, but we are currently in a crisis situation and the leaders of the people need to be able to hit fast and hard, without you bureaucratic stooges getting in the way.

So we'll make this simple: I have a couple of forms here that you can sign, which allows me the freedom that I presently need. I know what you are thinking, but look at it this way: you all now have cushy jobs, which you can retain as long as you are not standing in my way. So just sign there and there, and everybody is happy, and nobody needs to call in some burly guards with heavy weapons to repress ill-conceived revolutionary feelings.

I bring around some more paperwork for you to sign tomorrow. Till then, cheerio.

Move: None.
Action: Discard 1 - Consolidate Power and 1 - Executive Order to activate the President's Office.

Roslin draws another card after seeing the first and now receives her Visions.

The crisis is Network Computers.

Now, if we can pass this one, I definitely want to do the skill check because it is quite beneficial. True, we are low on cards right now, but an extra jump icon is not to be sneezed at. If we think we can't pass it, I much rather take the alternative, because we are at the start of the Jump Track now so it is just -1 population.

I can put in two cards, for a medium contribution. Dee has three positive cards, Chief one, Helo one, and Apollo two. That should be more than sufficient. Does anybody have a Support the People by any chance? In that case, we should probably go for the skill check, play it, and draw colors that are positive for it. Otherwise, perhaps a Jury Rigged? And maybe someone has a Declare Emergency on standby?

I'm waiting for input on this.

Honestly, I could almost pass this myself. With two low cards two cover destiny on top of mine mine we can easily make it.

I can only contribute low cards, but Dee seems pretty confident so let's go for it.

I choose the skill check.

I could play an IC to stop a hidden Cylon from spiking, but we can also agree that Dee and I handle the crisis together. Dee cannot spike it. I can, but in most cases that should be visible. Dee, if I play my two cards for a medium contribution, should that suffice?

I'll wait with passing on interrupts until I have heard from Dee. Again, a Support the People or Jury Rigged (or even a Guts & Initiative) would be appreciated -- if there is any time that we can relatively safely make a check reckless, it is now.

Two from you and two from me should cover even the nastiest destiny. Even overkill wouldn't be a bad thing for +1 jump prep. Also, pass on interrupts.

You realize it is +11, right? Do you really think two cards from you suffice? Granted, my contribution will help quite a bit, but are your cards really that high?

I pass on interrupts.

Anybody got a DE on standby?

Yes, but I can put in my third card if you like. It's negligible, but it couldn't hurt I suppose.

It's up to you. My two cards are a medium contribution, as I said. You judge how much you need to play. But I hope for a DE somewhere, just in case.

Pass on interrupts.

Sounds to me like Dee and Roslin have this pretty sewed up. If so, I'd rather hold at least 1 of my cards. If you think you need a buffer, I'll throw in a low card.

Helo passes on interrupts as well. So we start the check.

Send in your COs for Declare Emergency.

Helo is up.

I have a game round today. I might get the chance to check in once or twice, so if you sent a CO and are online before me, just post it.

I'd rather hold on for that card now, but I have a DE in stock if we need it.
