There aren't many options this turn. I'd prefer it if you do not XO Apollo, as he is next. Besides, there is no need to XO him yet; he can move to defend the civvies on his own turn. You could XO me to draw two Quorum Cards, but that's also not urgent. Basically, I see two possibilities:

(1) Activate the Comm to move the civvies to Sector 5.
(2) Launch a scout to scan the crisis deck. One more jump icon and we can jump whenever we need to.

Re: BSG 325 - Not To Yieldp

I don't see anyone who could use an XO. Roslin, would 2 title card activations be worthwhile? If not, it's a scout or communications for me. Taking suggestions.

EDIT: huh, 10 minute ninja. Damn shiny objects. I think I'll save my XO for an urgent situation. Play 1-Launch Scout, targeting the Crisis deck.

OK, let's roll for the scout: Scout 1d8 = (8) = 8, success!

Crisis sent.

Dee, do you bury it or keep it on top?

Dee buries the Crisis.

New Crisis is Scouting For Fuel.

Dee, what do you choose?

Yuck. Do we have any chance of passing this? Seems highly unlikely. Otherwise, can someone play a Strategic Planning on the roll?

I could solo this, but it would cost me a lot of worthy cards and I don't think passing is absolutely essential.
Otherwise, I can plan it.

Obviously no help here...but it would be great if we could pass this.

+1 Fuel? That would be fantastic. Is it essential? No, but the chance for the loss of 1 Fuel is not good at all, and an extra Fuel would mean no worries about Fuel anymore for this whole journey. So if you can pass it, I think we should go for it.

That is speaking from the perspective of someone who cannot contribute at all.

I can cut out destiny, and I have a low contribution afterwards. I could also make blue positive but I doubt that would be helpful. Ultimately I will defer to Helo's opinion since he'll be carrying the weight.

If you have a G&I and Helo can cover the check, that would be the easiest. Then we know we can pass with the minimal number of cards. Helo, would that be possible?

To be frank, I really think that my cards could be more effectively used outside this check or for a vital one, since their strength is lower than the possible gain when needed otherwise. It would also make my remaining hand very weak, but if you all explicitly insist on doing it, I will.

Then I will take the roll, and PASS on Strategic Planning. There will be more resource-critical checks that can make use of those cards.

Roll for Scouting for Fuel (4 or lower: -1 fuel): 1d8+2 = (4) + 2 = 6

No fuel loss.

Activation: Raiders.
Activation order does not matter.
Sector 1: Move to Sector 2.
Sector 2: Move to Sector 3.

Jump Track: Advances to Blue -3.

I'll take 2 politics, please.

I'll post my actions after work. I suppose getting to those raiders in sector 3 is my best move? I could also go to sector 4 and scout.

No, definitely not your best move.

You move to Sector 4. There you wait for the raiders to come to you. It would be stupid to move to 3, then get shot out of the air when raiders activate.

Instead, for your action, you can:
(a) launch a scout; or
(b) XO me to draw two Quorum Cards; or
(c) XO Dee to move the civvies to Sector 5 and launch a scout (if she has one).

EDIT: I now realize that you have no XO's. Then scout from Sector 4. But I have to say, Apollo, that I find it a decisively suspicious move that you are not drawing any Leadership. Really, XO'ing Dee would be best in these circumstances, and you make it impossible for yourself to do that.

I was actually trying to balance out the leadership and politics cards. I saw that more people draw leadership than politics and figured balance would be a good choice. I guess I was mistaken.

Scout crisis or destination?

Both have merits. We jump soon, so scouting destinations gives us an opportunity to check up on the admiral. Crisis is also good because we need one more jump icon before we jump, and as soon as we can, we no longer have to be afraid of the approaching raiders.

In lieu of XO'ing, moving to 4 and scouting would be good. I figure crisis deck.

I can definitely agree with scouting crisis. Splitting the variable draw is probably the best idea with how our skills are distributed. We do need a bit more politics, but it's also a good idea to always have the chance at an XO. It's not a huge deal though, since you still have good options.

Thing is, for most crises for which Politics is positive, Leadership is also positive. Therefore, the only reason to draw Politics is to get Investigative Committees or Consolidate Powers (and the few Support the Peoples and Preventative Policies). In the base games, ICs are REALLY important, but they have lost much of their bite in Pegasus. On the other hand, the Leadership deck has the hugely powerful Executive Orders, which all of us must try to draw. The main way for humanity to win the game, is to give prudent XO's, virtually doubling the number of actions.

So, Apollo, if you are human my advice is: if you hold one XO, then draw one Politics and one Leadership; if you hold no XO, draw two Leadership. When Helo gets on board, he can go to the Press Room and ensure our influx of Politics.

Move to sector 4

Play: 2 - Launch Scout targeting the crisis deck.

Roslin, if you are human, thanks for the advice.
