There are variants and a new scenario I made for the individual games in the FG box for the VPG editions of Borodino,Smolensk and a rule for Counter Battery fire that can be used with any of the 4 FG games.

The variant counters can be scaled to fit the FG counter size.

Just wanted the Fading Glory group to know in case none have ever looked at the seperate VPG games and their forums here on the Geek .

oh heck,I stink at links.

If you go to the Napoleonic20 link in the FG header that takes you to each of the games.click Smolensk or Borodino and the 4 variants are in the file section.

I just sent into BGG the 4 variant files so should be on soon

Great game design makes the complex simple, replayability maximum, and abstraction credible.

It’s not how well you roll that counts but how well the dice suit the game.

Truly wished VPG/GMT put Berezina and Gzhatsk inside the Fading Glory box, maybe more so than Waterloo and Salamanca if something had to be cut to fit inside.

Variants could then have been included too. Would have made a wonderfully themed box with tournament/campaign possibilities.

FWIW, I would've preferred an "all Russian" FG (too).

I understand why they chose to include Waterloo 20 (relative fame and series originator), but I would have loved to see Salamanca 20 held for a "Spanish Glory" (or whatever) package along with Bussaco 20, Vittoria 20, and the upcoming Fuentes de Oñoro 20.

But then again, I want GMT to Fading Glory-ialize the whole N20 line.

Hey I can dream can't I?

On the subject of breath-holding, any chance VPG will be going back and Gold-Bannering the older N20s?
