You don't need to remember rules. You just need to remember where to find them.

Read thru the rules in preparation for a game and Holy Crap! My first thought was how does anybody remember all of this? Between what units can/can't move past this or that hex before such and such a date, what units cannot cross into this/that country or what road is a better road after this or that date. My brain just meltedzombie

Definitely on the fiddlier side of OCS fare.

I'm gearing this one up also. When I finish my Turn Sequence spreadsheet thingy, I'll zip you over a copy.

Not as tough as it appears Tracy. It does have a lot of game specific rules. AR 5 troops with a leader become AR 6! How cool is that?!

Somewhere here on BGG I have uploaded a mode summary sheet. I cannot play without it because I can never remember who can do what and when and when not. The rest of the rules I can handle (and enjoy). Note that it takes a few turns to really get the hang of how to play and a couple of games to get a handle on how to play effectively. Start small and work your way up to the big boys - lots of smaller actions in DAK.

These graphical OOBs I made way back when might help a little. They include most (all?) of the events that change roads, who is released, etc.
