I've been primarily a Plano user to store my components (as recommended by BGG). I'm wondering has anyone use Harbor Freight storage cases for components? I especially like their pull-out compartments, which should be handy in fiddly games.

They look nice, but the one thing that jumped out at me was that HUGE handle. That would take up a bunch of room in the box...

I have three different styles of boxes from Harbor Freight, and boy are they ever different than what you folks are talking about!

For one thing, none of the boxes that I have are endowed with protruding handles, and at least one type will fit into at least some game boxes.

I have quite a few of these small boxes (the little dividers can be moved):

I also have a couple of these, which are one large box holding 24 little boxes:

And I have one of these big boxes, which for now still has the hang tab:

One handy thing about both the largest and smallest of those boxes is that the bins have curved bottoms, making it easier to fish out small bits.

I have the 24 little boxes (90243). For $5 you can't go wrong. They hold quite a bit of the little pieces,

Another good thing about that one is that there's no rule saying that the little boxes must be kept only in that big box.

The one minor quibble I have about it is that the other ones (94456, 94458) are noticeably sturdier, and I wish the 90243 boxes were made the same way. Still, there's a lot to be said for having all of those small boxes fitting easily into the one larger carrying box.
