Alright, my first thread! I want to thank everyone over at the Custom Masterminds thread (http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/906189/custom-masterminds) as well as various players of this community for the wonderful ideas as well as Itai Rosenbaum for the tools to make them a reality!

This thread will consist of, as the title states, custom cards I have created based off of my own ideas as well as the ideas of the community. I will be periodically updating this thread with my Masterminds/Villains/Henchmen/Schemes and at some point Heroes.

Hope you Enjoy!

MASTERMINDS

(Originally created by Itai Rosenbaum, I just swapped out the Artwork and made the Tactic cards.)

------------------------------------------------------------------

Galactus Card Sheet:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?g4appr7473ihmud

------------------------------------------------------------------

Made a few changes from my Original concept thanks to some great ideas from Jman P. (Although you jumped the gun on me, most of what you said is planned for my Bastion/Scheme.)

------------------------------------------------------------------

MasterMold Card Sheet:

MODOK Card Sheet:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------

(Thanks a lot to JBabel for the re-imagining of this card!!!)

Bastion Card Sheet:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?cy17zj9terp2z4g

------------------------------------------------------------------------

JBabels Rendition of Thanos was so similar to the concept I had started on my own, and after reviewing the sets side by side I do have to tip my hat to JBabel. This is a great character that you obviously put a little thought into, so I will do him justice and bring your creation to life!

Conner,

I know this is a bit much to ask, but could you offer up a pdf file with those five cards on one printable page with all the images sized to those in the game. I'm not a graphics specialist and I really don't want to just print one card per page of heavy card stock.

I think if all the designers would offer pdf's of exact-card-sized images ready for use more people might try and play with all of these great variants.

Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks,

these are real nice. My friend and I were brainstorming and our Galactus is very close to yours. I like it! Now who do you have in the Heralds deck? Now we need to do a Carnage and Mysterio.

SCHEMES

These two schemes were made by B Fresh, I just made the cards. All credit goes to him.

Original Thread (Secret War): http://boardgamegeek.com/article/11184656#11184656

Original Thread (Assault on the Helicarrier): http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/920063/custom-scheme-assault...

My Edit:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Easier Version)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

These Schemes are imagined by Ultraboy. I simply put his cards in my templates for creative reasons. Fantastic job Ultraboy!

Original Thread (http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/908076/custom-scheme)

(Made an Edit on this card to state 5 Masterminds to add to the Mastermind deck as well as 7 Villain Groups to add to the Villain Deck. Ultraboy's original card did not have this limit but seeing as how I have quite a few custom (and powerful) Masterminds as well as villains, I felt this was an ok choice.)

Once again these Schemes are all Property of Ultraboy, pop over to his thread and give him a thumbs up!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mine and idrinkdrpepper's minds at work

(This Scheme is the work of both JBabel and Myself, we have worked extensively bouncing ideas back and forth until we could narrow down something feasible. The Infinity Gems will be an all new Post because they are an All New Card Type: Objects of Power - So keep an eye out for my Object of Power Updates.)[/i]

Objects of Power

A lot of brainstorming sessions with JBabel and myself were spent trying to come up with an effective and flavorful way to play a Custom scheme: The Infinity Gauntlet. After many ideas being shot back and forth we had seemingly nailed down what we wanted from the twists. Shot some more ideas around and tweaked the Scheme until we had thought we had something playable. Then I plugged it all into Photoshop and saw a Wall of Text staring back at me.

I then decided that this was not going to work, at least for me. I had been bouncing around an idea for a new card type in my head for some time, and once I hit this wall of text I found the perfect opportunity to use it. With a tad bit more brainstorming, a little going back to the drawing board, and a whole lot of perseverance, the Objects of Power were born.

A lot of credit goes to JBabel (Especially for having to deal with me when I throw an idea like a new card type in the middle of our sessions) for his help in the creation and fine tuning of these cards.
It seems to be quite a decent partnership we have going on. I am hoping greatly we have the chance (and im sure we will) to expand on this card type.

Now I will begin (sort of) this Post with my Very Rough Draft of the rules associated with this new Card Type. I am Anxious for your reply's. PLEASE Ask Questions as this rule section will only improve when the questions are asked. It's time for community feedback!

Without further Adieu!

Objects of Power (OoP):

OoP is a new card type that characters throughout Legendary can interact with providing them with various effects. Feel free to customize your game experience by adding these to the Villain deck during setup. Most of these will make the game more difficult so take caution when adding them.

When an OoP is Drawn place it under the Villain in the City that's closest to the Villain Deck, or to the mastermind if no villain is in the city, just as you would a Bystander. This OoP is carried through the City by the Villain. If the Villain escapes with the OoP the Mastermind has now received control of it; Attach the OoP to the Mastermind. If the Villain does not escape and is defeated, you gain control of it; Place the OoP in front of you.

On an OoP there are Three Sections listed

Villain - (Duration)
Mastermind - (Duration)
Player - (KO)

Villain

While the Villain is carrying an OoP, it gains the effects listed under the Villain Section. These could range anywhere from a boost in (Power) to an effect (Draw cards, KO Hero, ect...). Usually this Power boost/effect will not be too significant as a Villain does not have the long-term goals or know-how of a Mastermind to be able to unlock an OoPs True Potential.

Mastermind

While the Mastermind has control of the OoP, it gains the effects listed under the Mastermind section. These effects are much stronger than the effects given to the Villains as the Mastermind is better equipped to use them.

Player

When you gain control of an OoP, you place it down in front of you. That OoP counts as a Hero of the listed color/type always in play.
In order for a player to use the ability listed on the OoP they must KO it. These abilities are very powerful and should be used wisely.

(Duration)

Duration refers to one of three options that you will see on the card -

Permanent: (This ability is active as long as this card is in play)
Fight: (Treat this ability as a fight effect)
Once: (This ability only occurs once. These abilities usually occur when the OoP obtained, unless stated otherwise.)

(KO)

This simply refers to the fact that in order to use the Ability of the card the OoP itself must be KOd'. An OoP may be KO'd during the owners turn at will.

So according to this text on Silver Surfer:

"When this card is played from your hand, you gain +4 [Attack]. If played against Heralds of Galactus or Galactus, you gain +5 [Attack}."

Am I to understand that Silver Surfer gets a total attack against Heralds of Galactus or Galactus of +9 [Attack]?

Or should it read:

"When this card is played from your hand, you gain +4 [Attack]. If played against Heralds of Galactus or Galactus, you gain +5 [Attack] instead."

I didn't design the card, but I'm pretty sure it's an either/or situation.

Connor - these cards are fantastic. Keep it up!

All of these cards are amazing! I would be happy to test out the Bastion scheme/villain/henchmen cards and give you my input, if you wouldn't mind making it into a card-sized PDF like you did with the others. Speaking of, any chance of getting Ultraboy's schemes in a card-sized PDF?

In the meantime, here's some

Thanks for all your hard work on these!

Hey everybody...how are you guys printing these cards out?
I am really wanting a nice set of certain ones (like the Galactus MM).
I bought some matte photo paper and have a decent inkjet.

I tried to simply print out the file downloaded from the above link but the font size if suuuuppper small and although the image of the cards look amazing, the text is too small for realistic gameplay.

Any suggestions?
It won't let me edit that file to simply enlarge the font...

I Really wish I had addressed this issue before I posted everything. This is what I get for not testing things.

This will take me some time to address as I have to edit Every card re-size, re-save, re-create the sheets and re-upload.

I will be addressing this issue before I upload any new cards as I find it to be rather important!

Thank you for the Feedback and I am always Anxious to hear from all of you!

Connor!
Pretty much everything looks great...the font, the pictures, etc. All of that is truly incredible.
It's simply the font's size...it's VERY difficult to read in it's current state, when printed.

On some of the wordier cards...this could be an issue...I dunno...

Other than that; great job and thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Just uploaded the new Card Sheet for Galactus!!!

I have received a plethora of great ideas in my inbox that I just can't wait to dip my hands into! But first I must finish the card sheets, make card corrections (Thank you Songbird! ) and finish / work on my Bastion Set.

Before I do any more Card Sheets, please let me know how Galactus turned out so I don't make another boo boo like that!

I make these cards for you guys (and a little for myself, hehe), so readability and playability are very important to me!
