Where are some common places to get the little ziploc baggies used to hold bits of board games? Is like more to better sort parts of my games. I'd rather not buy online. Do game stores generally carry them? What about craft stores?

I get them at craft stores (usually Michaels).

We get ours at our grocery stores, just pick up the snack size generic ziplocks. We have found it to be a lot less expensive than craft stores.

I just bought a bunch (4 different sizes) at one of our 'better' dollar stores. Each bag of 50 or 100 was only 50 cents. They were in with the craft supplies (for beads etc)

Love 'em even if a few games get scuttled from time to time.

One of my local game stores sells the assorted bag sizes as well and they charge about the same as a craft store. If you're in your FLGS and you need some, it's worth asking in case they carry them. But if they don't, yes, craft stores.

I just buy them in the grocery store, in the same section where they sell garbage bags, paper towels, and napkins! I use a variety of sizes - snack, sandwich, and quart, with the occasional gallon bags thrown in for good measure.

And if you are in a craft store, I would just spend the extra money to get Plano or similar boxes. Bags or cheap but annoying.

I bought mine, about a hundred or so for $2, from a food wholesaler / distributor.

Paper stores.

For some reason baggies are usually stored behind the counter here.

Mayday sells these, but when we get them in on the boat they almost always get flagged for inspection by the feds, they are always suspicious of that many baggies of small size. It must be the drugs!

Airport security line. A friend was traveling a couple of weeks ago and snagged 10 or so of the bags youre supposed to put liquids in. Quite genious, I traveled plenty last year and it never occured to me to put two and two together!

It's only a matter of time before chits and meeples are classified as drugs.

I buy baggies in bulk, at uline. I like the 4-mil (heavyweight) ones.

I'd also say avoid the really cheap, no name bags, or you'll spend more time pulling out your hair at your inability to get them to "zip up" properly.

If you don't have a Michaels near by, try Hobby Lobby, they have packs with a mixture of sizes in them.

I used to use ULine, but I found that Royal Bag are cheaper and less likely to spit at the ends of the seal-strip.

I know, they're quite tricky to find in the uk. About £40-60 a bag but at least you get some baking soda with it...

If you put it on your gums it makes you feel silly! whistle

I find the ones you get with 'natural green modelling flock' are cheaper.

You do have put the flock into roll-ups to get it make you feel funny though.
