These are methods for creating random decks for corp and runner from the cards in one core set. Please try it, tweak it and give feedback.

The idea is that you will not be knowing what your deck contains until you draw the cards. I don't encourage mulligans for this format. You sort each sides cards according to type (ignoring faction) and - without looking - take cards from each pile, creating your "sealed" decks. You will be playing without faction cards. Influences are ignored.

CORP DECK

These points has how many cards you should take from each pile after shuffling it. These card are added to a base which is 3 Priority Requisition and 3 Hedge Fund.

3 x 1 point agendas
4 x 2 point agendas
6 x barriers
6 x code gates
7 x sentries
5 x money cards (includes Security Subcontract)
4 x traps (includes data mine and zaibatsu loyalty)
2 x upgrades
6 x operations

RUNNER DECK

The runner is considered to have a base link of 0. The base cards are 2 x Crypsis and 3 x Sure Gamble. Cards are categorizes a bit differently than corps.

Icebreakers

7 cards. All Icebreakers except the third copy of crypsis

Consoles

1 card.

Memory

2 cards. Djin and Akamatsu Mem Chip.

Protection

4 cards.

Net Shield
Sacrifial Construct
Rabbit Hole
Crash Space
Decoy
Access to Globalsec

Economy

7 cards.

Armitage Codebusting
Infiltration
Magnum Opus
Modded
Aesops Pornshop
Easy Mark
Bank Job
Data Dealer
Cyberfeeder
Stimhack

Runs

6 cards. Not Stimhack. Includes Tinkering.

The rest

13 cards.

Makes Djin and Aggressive Negotiation OP as you can look at your own deck! You might want to let people look through their own deck before they play, otherwise you might not know you lack a fracter, say until its too late.

I do like the idea though

So, if you want to replicate the experience of playing with limited knowledge of how your deck will work, why not have it be built by somebody else?

Everybody constructs a legal Runner and a legal Corp deck. Each deck gets handed to somebody else at random. Add an extra step when generating pairings to try and avoid having somebody play against their own deck.

Give out three prizes: one for the top player and one each to the two people who built the decks that player won with.

I was thinking of doing something like this, I'm glad someone's already got a head start. I think I underestimated how tough it would be. I might use this as a basis for my own version.
