Not bad, but you should proofread it. Exited, the where, patients.

Thanks! I did proof read but spell check only goes so far, doh! I found excited and patience but what are you referring to with "the there"?

Loved it . Especially the quote from my review .

Which I think I actually saw somebody mention previously, but I forget where...

Crap, now I feel bad for not mentioning that it wasn't my original quote...

Ok, now I hate the review .

Well, you know what they say: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! (So when you figure out who I am flattering let me know, ok? :p)

Heh, after reading (and approving) your review, we were out at the mall this evening, and I saw it in the toy store and based on your review picked it up for my 17-month-old who loves playing her board games. Well, playing with the bits with close supervision :-) It's her second Knizia game (Frechdachs was her first).

In the second paragraph, you meant "they were".

Matthew Gray, wow, that's high praise indeed!

I have a number of kids games (5 and under) because I sincerely want to play with my son and daughter. I think its so important because they know the difference.

But finding good kids games is so hard because so few people rate / review them and when they do it is often with an eye solely on their own enjoyment.

I plan and hope to review (God willing) all of the kids games that I have with this in mind.

John Farrell, thank you so much. I hate looking like the idiot that I really am. I really appreciate your help.

While my daughter is only 17-months-old, I've played a fair number of games with the under-5 set and can recommend:

Kids of Catan
Face-It
Trollig
Plumpsack/Sherlock
Enchanted Forest (more for the high end of the under-5 set)
Im Marchenwald (same)

Also:

Fish Eat Fish
Gulo Gulo
Nobody But Us Chickens

maybe also:

Schicki Micki
Capt'n Clever

which my 5yo nephew plays well.

Yes Gulo Gulo is fantastic! I actually enjoy playing.

I also like to play Catch The Match, Monkey Memory, Sherlock, Chicken Cha Cha Cha, and Carcassonne (without any rules. In other words we just lay tiles in turn matching roads, cities, and fields).

These are all the kids games that I own and really have fun playing.
