New World is a challinging game, my gaming group played this game for the first time a while ago and it was interesting.
The game is designed for 2-6 players, it take about four to six hours to complete.
the rules are a bit long and game play is slow going at first, but if you stick with it the game does get going.
Each player represents a European country hungry for wealth and power it is your objective to exploit the vast riches of the new world.
you send your fleet of ships to carry your soliders to the Americas where they can exploit the natives and establish colonies.
you train your coloniests to become miners who will establish mines to mine gold which you transport back to your home country.
you must face the challenge of native uprisings and other players who may decide your colony looks rich for the taking.
Using optional rules you can even decide to assign one or more of your ships as a pirate, so you can go raiding other players colonies and steal their gold.
you will find thst you will need to make several of your own copies of the game turn charts due to the small amount of the ones provided.
overall this is a fun and challenging game, where else could you relive the excitement of the days of exploration and exploitation of the New World!
