I made this image to be a puzzle for an activity.
I already counted the score but I want to make sure I am correct.
Id need the score for green, red and yellow using third edition rules.
Ignore Traders and Builders icons, just pretend they don't count.

What do you say? can you help me?

I think this is right. But I get green as 89, Yellow as 34 and red as 31.

But there are a few instances of illegal placement of meeples. Such as the road on the left hand side with the green and yellow meeple. The castle with the green and red meeple sharing and the road with 2 green and 1 yellow meeple. All of these wouldn't be able to be played if following the rules correctly.

Hope the scoring matched your own! meeple

Assuming only the blue and white shields are bonus points and all those other shields aren't extra points, this is what I count:
GREEN- 54
YELLOW - 26
RED - 28

It these things were joined later, they are perfectly legal.

I understand that, but some of the meeples couldn't have been joined later. The road on the left hand side for example.

Editing my initial numbers.
I missed a few things. (Scoring is way harder when you aren't physically removing the pieces from the board after doing so.)

Green - 64 (13 from Cloisters, 19 from cities, 11 from roads, and 21 from fields)

Red - 28 (12 from cities, 7 from roads, and 9 from fields)

Yellow - 26 (11 from cities, 6 from roads, 9 from fields)

I also haven't played with any expansions and don't know what all the extra-large shields mean... so if they factor into scoring, uhh... then I'm way off.

The other shields don't do anything when scoring castles. Each time a commodity is in a castle that gets completed, the player who completed it (they don't have to have a meeple in the castle) will get all the commodities. At the end of the game, the player with the most of each (wheat, ribbon and barrel) receives 10 bonus points.

On right -- they wouldn't still be on the board if it was a completed city/road...
I was doing it all as end-game scoring...

Ooops.

right but there is no way to show with a photo who claimed what road or cities with out just putting a meeple there. basically count up the score. if the city (for example) is finished add the finished points, if it is not finished do the not finished points.

sorry if this was not clear.

First of all...
SimonRoadhouse wrote:

...this was an excellent catch that I might have overlooked, but these two tiles are on the far left side of the map are adjacent with a two segment road each containing a different colored meeple (Green & Yellow) there is NO WAY this could have happened legally in a real game, unless you've added in the FLYER EXPANSION, but I don't see an arrow on any of those tiles.

Secondly: You are showing a partially completed map with SIXTEEN (16X) Green Meeples, ELEVEN (11X) Red Meeples, and TEN (10x) Yellow Meeples. What kind of game are you playing? Basic "Carcassonne" only comes with EIGHT (8X) Meeples for each of FIVE (5x) colors (Black, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red); and one of those is supposed to be used for the Scoring Track. So realisticly there sould only be a MAXIMUM of SEVEN (7X) Meeples of any one color, unless you add in those figures (Bigguy, Builder, Mayor, Phantom, etc. each have a different shape).

THIRD: ...here's the way that I would score it as is moving clockwise from the upper left corner.

YELLOW gets: 12 + 2 + 4 = 18 for towns
(-1?) + 4 = 4 for roads
0 = 0 for no cloisters / monasteries
4 = 4 for one farmer
TOTAL = 26 points;

RED gets: 4 + 4 + 4 + 10 + 2 = 24 for towns
3 = 3 for one road
0 = 0 for no cloisters / monastaries
4 + 4 = 8 for farmers
TOTAL = 35 points.

GREEN gets: 1 + 10 + 10 + 18 = 39 for towns
(-1?) + 2 + 5 + 2 = 9 for roads
4 + 9 = 13 for cloisters / monastaries
4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16 for farmers
TOTAL = 78 points and wins the game.

don't worry about if this board is possible or not. That's not important. its for a geocaching puzzle. all that matters is that i got the score right.

That's really cool that it is for Geocaching. Are you hiding or seeking?

Anyway, this is what I got today, only counting points when someone had the majority in that area...:

Green: 86 (14 for cloisters, 37 for cities, 11 for roads, and 24 for fields)

Yellow: 39 (24 for cities, 6 for roads, 9 for fields)

Red: 35 (19 for cities, 7 for roads, 9 for fields)

Weird, I'm getting different scores than everyone else, too, even barring any impossible plays.

Green:
11 Roads
38 Cities
13 Cloisters
20 Farms
= 82 Total

Red:
7 Roads
15 Cities
12 Farms
= 34 Total

Yellow:
6 Roads
16 Cities
8 Farms
= 30 Total

With no end of game scoring a lot of things including the goods aren't added yet.

I think the current mid-game score would be:
Green: 57
Red: 26
Yellow: 20

If it is an end of game scoring it would become:

Green: 93
Yellow: 53
Red: 49

No T&B:
Green: 83
Red: 39
Yellow: 33

One thing is for sure, Green wins
