Hello,

Can we considered that the universe of 3rd edition Talisman is the warhammer Old World ?

Why this question.

In Talisman " The City ", we speak about city of the emperor... Altdorf?

In mountains the lost dwarfish stronghold is called Karak The cursed.

Thank you for yours advices.

We always assumed that the GW Talisman games have as a setting an "alternate Old World". Some kind of parallel universe meeple

If you are into WFRP, many cards and characters are familiar, but some are not. As we are deep into WFRP, we always make references to the Old World.

Hail the Emperor, Hail Sigmar

Talisman 3rd edition has skavens, goblin fanatics, dwarf dragon slayers and elf wardancers, so it surely is the warhammer old world.

I played WFRPv1 and play WFRPv2 a lot (mostly as a GM and therefore, I know the setting pretty good), and some cards simply do not fit in the Old World.

As Lars pointed out, 3rd edition seems to be closer to the Old World than 2nd or 4th - but I have to admit, I played 3rd only a couple of times, long ago.

As some have pointed out, There is "warhammer" elements in the game. Still There Are many elements that don't belong to the warhammer world such as chinese, angels and solomon.

I see it as a generic fantasy world with many warhammer elements in the mix.

No, they are not the same world. They share common elements but there are things that are not in the Warhammer setting here. This version removes alot of the non-WH elements from the game. But retains enough things from outside that it remains a "place somewhat like the one you know, yet not."
