Every year at Christmas I give games to my three (13,15, 17) kids. I do this for 2 reasons. One: my kids like games and two: I hope that they will have a nice collection that they can enjoy and play with when they leave home.
While each child has a specific type/style of game he/she favours, they are always willing to play a game. As such, it would be nice to have a varied collection of mechanics (i.e. WP, Dexterity, Co-op)in each collection.
What "main" mechanics/categories should I be considering when building my kids game collection?
Thanks for the feedback

Going off of your collection i would recommend
Vasco da Gama
and for the true appreciative gamer who likes depth in games
That's pretty good. I would also add pick up and deliver.
