... This makes me wonder, am i weird for always carrying a bag of dice (various ones for roleplaying, d4's, d6's, d8's, d10's d12's, d20's) around in my messenger bag?

- Edit -

Also, wouldn't a coin toss have worked?

If this is for the OCTGN Tournament, that roll has ALREADY been made for everyone in the round:

Erm, to be honest, I saw that, and didn't understand what to do with it. What I'm seeing is

1custom2{Top Picks;Bottom Picks} -> ( Bottom Picks)

With the bolded part clickable... But clicking it just gives me this:

1custom2{Top Picks;Bottom Picks} -> ( Bottom Picks) -> ( Bottom Picks)

And further clicking just toggles between the two.

If I'm doing something wrong with the thing... Please explain XD Apologies!

And we've already finished up our games. Thanks!

Well that certainly complicates things logistically... My bad.

Each round one of the TOs will roll using a 'custom die roll'.

1custom3{Tom;Dick;Harry}
Rolls a custom d3 and chooses between Tom, Dick or Harry.

In our case, we do:
1custom2{Top picks first;Bottom picks first}

This determines if the top/bottom person in a given match gets to pick their role first and applies to the ENTIRE tournament. In a given round, either all 'top' members (those listed first) or all 'bottom' members (those listed second) will get to pick their role in the first game.

In the first tournament there was a concern that the top player always got to pick, and the way Challonge works, that disadvantaged lower 'seeds' in a way that was unacceptable.

In future games, I recommend looking on the announcement thread to determine who gets to pick first for that round.

Thanks for the explanation, so am I right to say that he bottom player of the pairings are supposed to pick first in this instance?

It just wasn't made clear in a language I'm used to. The curly bracket notation especially looked like something was broken... So now I know.

Cheers
