I'm staying in Nairn from now (9 Feb 2013) until just before Easter 2013. It's also quite likely that I'll be back after Easter for another couple of months, or even longer. I'm trying to find people to play board games with during that time. I've got a collection of about 18 games of varying types with me (See my collection page). I'm staying in a hotel in Nairn, so we should be able to find a table here where we can play.

Please get in touch if you are interested or would like more information.

First of all welcome to Scotland and I hope your stay here is all that you expect. I've looked on http://nearbygamers.com/ and can't see anyone in that area at all so that's not a good start. Looking in the BGG database brings up

so he may be worth contacting.

Might be moving to that area soon myself, I'll get in touch if I am and we can play some games. Tentatively looking at establishing a games venue in that area as well.

I only really know of a couple of war games groups in Inverness that might be of use to you - I've no idea if they play other games or not though but perhaps with your inspiration they might . You can find their details on the map compiled by those over at Central Belt Pick-Up Games here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/user?uid=211180759489702721961...

On a personal level, I know of one friend who is a gamer but not a wargamer who is involved in a vampire: masquerade rpg campaign up in Forres but details of gamers in that area in general are sparse. If you have any more info I'd be really interested to know.

Thanks to everyone for the pointers. I've contacted the BGG people who had a 'last signed in' date in the last couple of months, the others hadn't signed in for a very long time.

I'm also going to check out the various groups linked to.

My weekends might finally be a bit more interesting
