Just so everyone is clear on this: it is not some new Nat'l Weather Service or NOAA thing that we now name winter storms. It's just The Weather Channel doing it and trying to get everyone else on board.
So when you see a news report on a different channel calling this storm "Nemo," understand that they're just giving The Weather Channel free advertising.
I think The Weather Channel needs some competition.

If they keep this crap up, soon the insurance companies will find enough wiggle room to pull the same shenanigans that they use with hurricanes to avoid having to pay claims. Now you will need a "winter storm" insurance, too.
