I don't really like how the geeklist entries have three lines at the end which makes the titles become far too apart and this takes up way more space than before. Same goes for forum entries with two lines per topic.

(edit: made a more sensible title)

Re: Multiline
Yup, three lines for GeekLists is terrible. Makes the front page way too long.

Collections have the same effect. In unrated games the box for "N/A" rating makes the rows very high, and with Opera the rows are even higher than with IE.

Re: Multiline
I think the extra info those lines provide (number of items and comments) provide some useful info that wasn't previously available. It helps me filter through the Lists.

Re: Multiline
could still have the same effect with multiple columns

Title|User|Items|Comments

same with threads

Title|User|Replies

Re: Multiline
I agree with Jeff, something a bit more compact would be great.

Re: Multiline
While we are at it: the entire design of those lists is not great.

- the blue bar with the thumb and "subject" is a waste of space, they can go

- the gray alternating background color is too dark, it interrupts the list too much visually, should be lighter

- the number of thumbs is not visually separated from the title enough, either use more space, a background color, or a feint outline

- definitely one line for author/replies/comments/items, unless the whole layout is configurable

- the bottom blue bar with page number could be included in the header bar

Don't even get me started on the game collection pages.

Re: Multiline
All good points. As is the request to have the stats for each thread or list removed. Do it quick, before this page ends up as an example in a textbook on poor information design!

I agree that being able to chose a more compact Geeklist/Forum messages view would be very nice.

Something like

My Geeklist About Games That Have Nothing In Common Davebo(8,3)

would be nice. Where 8 was the number of items, and 3 were the comments.

FYI, these modules were designed so they could be viewed at 800x600.

I'm pretty sure we tried to make geeklists 2 lines high, but couldn't get it to work.
