Do I understand the rules (1.3) to say that if you retreat from a battle as attacker you may retreat back to an adjacent city you approached from from whether it is now friendly or not? Where as if you win the battle as attacker you may not regroup back to the town you approached from if you didn't leave a block, and it is now unfriendly?

If the above statements are accurate this seems to offer a benefit to retreating armies that a victorious regrouping army doesn't enjoy. Any comments?

I've been on this site for 15 years now, and I'm far from sick of games, but I think I prefer a better balance of favorites to new games. I'm also tired of playing 4+ hr multiplayer games, but I'll still happily play really long games 2 player.
