What games feature France prominantly in the theme or gameplay? These can include France's culture, politics, history, geography and can be historical, abstract, Euro or Ameritrash, etc. Should Liberté, Warriors of God, Notre Dame, or Paris Connection be on the list? Others? What are the best?

FYI.. not as interested in comments on Napoleonic, WWI or WWII games involving France, as I own/have played/studied several already . . .

Thanks in advance for your input.

Troyes is about building the cathedral in the titular city. Great game

A Few Acres of Snow is also about the French in colonial America

Virgin Queen could merit consideration. While the title refers to England's monarch, the religious and political conflict between France and the Huguenots is one of the central axes of the game.

Probably the most intense one. A few standard deviations out from Liberté...

You'd think there'd be a Britannia for France by now. (Maybe not enough invaders.)

Louis XIV

Le Havre

Age of Napoleon

No Peace Without Spain (which despite its name, is mostly about invading France)

Ora et Labora has a French thing going. It feels a lot like Ireland with wine though.

Liberté and Warriors of God, that you already mentionned, are really good.
I would had Bellum Gallicum II, Here I Stand and Virgin Queen. All musketeers-themed games (Musketeers, Les Trois Mousquetaires, Mousquetaires du Roy). Strategy and Tactics published an excellent game about the franco-prussian war.
Mai 68. Article 104, published in Casus Belli.
Guillotine.
Cry Havoc and Siege.

Can't mention Troyes without mentioning Tournay

I thought Tournay was in Belgium?

Carcassonne
a well-known game about building small fortified cities in the countryside; only the name links this to medieval France
The Castles of Burgundy
one of Feld's best, about the development of a domain in Bourgogne; could be anywhere in late-medieval central Europe
Gentlemen Thieves
a fun game of bluffing, deduction and alliances in the world of Maurice Leblanc's thief Arsène Lupin; Paris, in the very first years of the twentieth century
Mousquetaires du Roy
a cooperative game where each player is one of the famous musketeers from Alexandre Dumas' novel; Paris and other locations from the novel, early seventeenth century
Royal Palace
Palais royal is a game from Xavier Georges, one of the designers of Troyes; it evokes the life surrounding Louis XV and Madame de Pompadour, in the middle of the eighteenth century
Saint Malo
an original game, set in Saint-Malo, northwest of France; you use erasable markers to draw your city according to the roll of dice
Troyes
a great dice game with art very evocative of the period; Troyes is East of Paris; the action is in the twelfth-thirteenth centuries, with the three social orders of the Middle Ages : those that rule and fight, those that guide and pray; those that work
