I have a few suggestions for the new site:

1) When you click on "Contact" in the menu along the bottom, there is a typo. It says "Contact Aldie for Adverstising questions."

2) When you click on "Support BGG" in the menu along the bottom, the headline says "BoardGameGeek Support 2005." It also shows the older Supporter Badge underneath (i.e., BGG-Supporter), rather than the new abbreviated Supporter Badge, which eliminates the BGG portion.

3) I used to add "tags" to just about all of the GeekLists that were posted on BGG, so that it was easy to find similar lists (e.g., recommendations, favorites, purchases, wants, wargames, conventions). I can no longer find a way to add such "tags" to GeekLists, which I thought was a helpful way to contribute to the site. However, the ability to view "tags" I've created in the past appears to have been reinstated, which is nice.

4) Back on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, I suggested that you make it easier/quicker to access games played via BGG (e.g., Tigris & Euphrates), by adding the "Your Games" link to the menu bar at the top of the page, so you didn't have to scroll down to find that link on the left-hand menu bar. You can view that suggestion at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/720318. Since the new BGG interface was implemented, it seems to have actually become harder/much more time consuming to access games played on BGG. Now the only way I can find to access them is by going to "Fun Stuff" then "Online Games" then "Euphrat & Tigris," and then you're not even there yet, because you still have to click on "Your Games."

5) I'd also like to reiterate what I noticed a few other people have said, by suggesting that the words "MyGeek" and "Forums" (in the menu bar at the top) be clickable links themselves, in addition to activating drop-down menus. For example, it would be nice to be able to click on "MyGeek" and go directly to the profile.

6) I don't know if it's possible, but it would be really nice if messages posted within games played on the BGG system, such as Euphrat & Tigris, could be forwarded to your GeekMail.

7) Finally, while this is less important than the previous suggestions in my mind, being able to click "Next" and "Previous" when in the Calendar view of "Games Played" would be really nice, for flipping between the months to see the games that have been recorded.

Thanks again for all the excellent work on the site so far!

As an alternative (if making clickable a top-menu entry is troublesome) could be easier to make a link in the welcome line: "Welcome [user_name]".

My only 'nice to have' would be an extension on Games Played where the custom search would have an option to display the dates you played the games on, or if that will be a bit too messy just entend the current standard games played so that the 'ALL' option applies to years or a definable period rather than just by month.

I posted a request for the same feature several months ago. This would be a waaaay useful thing to have on the Geek.

Yeah, I'd noticed the lack of facility to add geeklist tags under the new format and commented on it somewhere.

I'd also realised that you used to add tags to all the geeklists... when I looked at who had tagged a geeklist, it always made me smile to see your name there.

Thanks Andy, I really appreciate that. I wasn't sure if anyone ever noticed/used the tags I created for GeekLists, but I thought they might be useful, so I stuck with it. Hopefully the feature will return when the dust from this recent upheaval/makeover settles.

I've actually been working on a GeekList for the past week or so that's finally almost done, which would list and describe the tags that I've created and used frequently, so that people could know what tags mean what, and how to take advantage of the feature.

For those of you who have no clue what I'm referring to, I (and some other users) used to add descriptive "tags" to GeekLists as they were created, so that anyone could click on a tag and find a list of all lists on the same subject. For example, you can find 79 lists relating to conventions by going to http://tinyurl.com/8mqqh (31 lists just on BGG.con at http://tinyurl.com/c3svp, 11 on Essen at http://tinyurl.com/8t6ea, 14 on WBC at http://tinyurl.com/asru4), or you could find 35 GeekLists on games for children at http://tinyurl.com/7m2fl. Those are just a few examples. I think this is useful in addition to a search feature, because searching for "convention" or "children" will definitely not come up with all of the GeekLists dealing with those subjects. This is even more apparent for some of the other tags I use, such as "recommendations," "wants," "favorites," "purchases," all of which are common subjects for GeekLists, but such common phrases are rarely used by the authors of such lists.

Anyway, thanks again Andy, glad somebody noticed meeple

I would also re-surface the suggestion for more data related to playability with various numbers of players...
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/83943

And I would also re-surface the suggestion to add more accurate durations:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/84017

And the suggestion to provide more descriptive subject lines for trade and other geek emails...
