And if you never have, you should. These things are fun and fun is good.

Anyone think the new site runs slower? My machine is struggling with it... takes longer for searches, it lags when I hit buttons, etc.

It is so noticeable I thought I'd ask. Love the new look and navigation!

Andy

I have, in the past, had speed issues with BGG. Most of them are probably related to the fact that I have to browse behind a proxy server (opinions may vary on that point...but I digress). With the recent updates and new server/s I have absolutly no issues.

With my high end system in need of a new video card, I've been browsing on my old T-Bird 950, 360 mb ram, and VERY basic video card and HD. The system runs Windows XP, and I use Firefox to browse.

I hope that info gives you a point of reference to help figure out what's going on on your end

Thanks Dave, it's inexplicable...

Not sure what is causing it.

I get several JavaScripts errors in my Firefox console when browsing BGG. Maybe that's related to your slowness.

I have become my own island state. A ravaged, war-torn land where nothing grows and the horizons are bleak.

I'm running IE and sometimes it is slower. There is a little lag after I hit a button. It's nothing too bad, though.

If I run with JavaScript disabled, download speed is fine but I lose a lot of navigation capability.

If I run with JavaScript enabled, the pages take a long time to load... or at least to reach a state where I am allowed to scroll down a page at will. *Very* annoying...
