I'm in Southern California for the winter, staying with my girlfriend's parents, and I'm bored out of my mind. I'm far from my usual gaming group in San Francisco, and my girlfriend's family doesn't like to play anything much outside of Bingo and Pictionary. Lately, I can't even talk my girlfriend into a game of Ticket to Ride, which is usually one of her favorites.
Are there any gamers in the Anaheim area who would be willing to meet up, maybe at a coffeehouse or something, for an afternoon of gaming? All I've got with me right now are Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Paranoia: Mandatory Bonus Fun Card Game, and Last Frontier: The Vesuvius Incident. I also have a Nintendo DS with Mario Kart and Nintendogs.

I am essentially in Mission Viejo. Might be able to spring loose some weekend afternoon if you know a good place. I have plenty of games I could bring, depending on your tastes. If you like abstract strategy games, I have several obscure ones that I haven't played for quite a while that I would like to re-look at.

I'm here until next Tuesday, the 10th. I'm not a native of the area, so I don't know many places, but there's a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf not too far away.
I loaded up your Collection-
Cosmic Encounter has interested me, I'd give that a try.
A few rounds of Black Box would be great.
I know Blokus, even though I'm not terribly good at it.
Acquire seems to be a classic, I might just be interested in reading over the rules and learning about it.
For Sale would be fun, I don't know much about it, but it seems to be light and highly rated.
Oh, interesting, you have Hanafuda! I've always enjoyed that, although I only know the 'matching flowers' game, which is really for children.
Ooh, Omega Virus. I had that growing up. Creepy-ass game, would be worth a shot if your copy's still working.
I hear a lot about Alhambra, might be nice to see what the fuss is about.

Mostly, I just want to get out of the house.

There is a Meetup.com group that meets in Tustin this Sunday. I have another group that will meet Sunday in Orange, as well, so I will show up late for the Tustin group. There is a Group that meets at Game Arena in Cerritos on Tuesday night.

I hesitate to mention this, as our house is already going to be bursting to the seams with 32 people RSVP'd so far, but check out:

We're meeting on Sunday January 8th for a full day of gaming.

Wow, that sounds fantastic! Unless you're filled to the brim, I think I'll come by. Heck, I'll play out in the street, as long as I get some gaming in.
All I've got with me right now is Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, and Paranoia. I've also got Sir Bedivere with me (the 8th knight for Shadows over Camelot).
How late in the day will this event go?

We play from 10 AM until people drop from exhaustion. In the past, this has been as late as 2:00 AM the next morning. Yes, I have to work the next day, but my best gaming happens after the kids are in bed, and that's why God created the Coffee Bean.
