I would recommend Axis and Allies revised (2004) or Axis and Allies Pacific going by your list.

Axis and Alies D-Day is fun for about 5 plays then it gets boring.

I have several of the A&A minis which are neat looking and have only played a game once so I can't really give an opinion other than it is a potential money pit.

Axis and Allies Europe: I think the axis powers are too strong making the game unbalanced.

Axis & Allies: Italy : Haven't heard of this, now I'll have to look for it.

I don't know anything about these except I think you will have to have Axis and Allies 2004 to play.

If you are new to the game, then you should start with Axis & Allies (2004).

This is the original game:

Axis & Allies is an alternate name of Axis and Allies

These are unofficial variants based on the original game:

Central Powers, Axis & Allies Variant
Enemy on the Horizon - Axis & Allies Expansion (1999)
New World Order, Axis & Allies Variant
War to End All Wars, The - WWI Axis & Allies Variant (1997)

This is the new revised version of the original:

Axis & Allies (2004)

This is an unofficial variant based on the revised edition, It basically adds Italy as an additional power with a modified setup.:

Axis & Allies: Italy is an alternate name of Italy

These are official stand-alone games based on the Axis & Allies ruleset. They focus in on specific regions of the globe:

Axis & Allies: Europe is an alternate name of Axis and Allies: Europe
Axis & Allies: Pacific is an alternate name of Axis and Allies: Pacific

This is an official stand-alone game based loosely on the Axis & Allies ruleset. It focuses on a single battle instead of an entire war:

Axis & Allies: D-Day (2004)

This is an official stand-alone collectible miniatures game based on the Axis & Allies theme. It focuses on individual units, played at a tactical level:

Axis & Allies Miniatures (2005)

Seriously, get the Avalon Hill Axis and Allies Revised 2004 version. Its worth it, the map is better, the units are better, the game is more interesting and thier are the national advantages to add spice.

I play a fair bit of Axis and Allies and would also suggest starting out with Axis & Allies revised (2004). It is basically the original game with a few additions/revisions.

And to my way of thinking with any large series of books, games, movies, etc... it is usually best to start out at the begining. And the revised edition is pretty close to the original.

Many of the others are worth playing as well so if you accidentally picked up the wrong one it wouldn't be horrible. Of the ones I've tried (Original, Revised, Europe, Pacific, & D-Day) Pacific is the only one that I didn't get into.

Axis and Allies revised! I got it last month and love it.
Plenty of depth and from what I've heard better than Pacific or D-Day and tighter than the original version.
