Resetting speed for bumping into another dragon is incorrect in the English rules.

On P.10 under "fly into another dragon", it says the "moving mage must lose one energy chip and set his speed indicator to 100DS (both pointers; in the next round, his maximum is 400DS)."

This is incorrect. The German rules state

Der rempelnde Magier muss nach der Flugbewegung einen Energiechip in den Vorrat abgeben und seine aktuelle Geschwindigkeit um 100 DS zurückstellen (beide Zeiger).


This translates to "the bumping mage must after movement return one energy chip to the supply and sets his speed back 100DS (both pointers)."

This is in line with what the figure 13 shows in regard to reducing speed "by" 100 DS and not "to" 100 DS.

Also, the whole translation on what to do when running into another dragon is mucked up. Simply put, if your dragon would end up touching another dragon (ending in their position in some way) just move their dragon off the side of the course and take your turn (losing 1 energy chip and reducing your speed by 100DS). Then, after you have fininshed positioning your dragon, the player of the bumped dragon may move their dragon back onto the course placing it next to the rail and in a facing of their choice, no further ahead in position from where they were before being bumped. Here's the related quote from the German rules:

Nach der Bewegung des rempelnden Drachen darf der angerempelte Drache von seinem Besitzer auf gleicher Höhe direkt an die Begrenzung gestellt und beliebig auf der Stelle gedreht werden (siehe Abb. 13).


These are some huge translation errors. Effectively, bumping another dragon is not penalized as severely as either having your dragon finish their position touching a rail, or having your ruler cross a rail during movement. The latter actions "will" set both your pointers back to 100DS and lose you 1 or 2 energy points respectively.

Magic Energy p.14 in the English rules has an added explanation that should be ignored. It states "Also, the player may choose his target before checking the range and may not use magic energy if he already has 5 energy chips."

This sentence is not in the German rules. Probably because you can never have more than 4 energy chips as explained on p.8 under "take new energy chip".

Also, as mentioned in another thread, the Magic Lasso English translation is incorrect as well.

This states that if you play the lasso card, you may pull a dragon "back" to your position. The dragon pulled back cannot bump another dragon in the process and will end in a position that is still forward of your dragon. The lassoed dragon player gets to position the facing of their dragon. Again, this matches both example 17 on p.12 and what is shown on the Laqueus Malefici card.
