I declared a hero with a Defense of 2 as a defender against an enemy with an Attack of 2. King Spider was dealt as a Shadow card, which forces the defending player to exhaust a character. All my characters were already exhausted. So I played it as no effect and that the Attack was still defended and therefore my defending hero took no damage. Was this correct?
Mr. Tempell is right, but some shadow effects state something like, "If there are no characters that are able to exhaust, then...."
