Unsurprisingly, no entry in the database yet. Not one for my wishlist.

What's not to like?

A roll-and-move mechanic, seemingly few (if any choices), and a chance that the game could go on forever...?

If the success of Monopoly is any indicator, this should do amazingly well!!!

You can tell it's not an American game...you don't seem to have to answer trivia questions about Buddhism.

Tish- You said just exactly what I was going to say.

"In XXXX there are no winners and no losers, there is the chance to learn about your inner-self and the game can go on forever."

"XXXX was designed for YOU to experience the fun of learning how to communicate more effectively. As you share thoughts, ideas and feelings, you will develop a deeper understanding of others and of yourself."

Which is BuddhaWheel and which is UNGAME?

Hi Scott,

"XXXX was designed for YOU to experience the fun of learning how to communicate more effectively. As you share thoughts, ideas and feelings, you will develop a deeper understanding of others and of yourself."

This may happen as a result of playing BuddhaWheel but it is not the total 'aim' of the game.

"In XXXX there are no winners and no losers, there is the chance to learn about your inner-self and the game can go on forever."

This is not a quote from the manufacturer - rather from the Guardian - who actually never played it.
You can win in BuddhaWheel by becoming a Buddha, Up-Levelling, and use your power to help other players. Your inner-self can be kept to yourself as much as you like

All best,

Oh, snap! Busted by the designer!

Good luck with your game, Emily. It's a beautiful board illustration and I think it has a potential for encouraging introspection you don't often see in boardgames.

That said, don't be discouraged by the amount of grief it will inspire here - we're definitely a Euro gaming crowd and we don't spare the rod when we find a game with elements not to our taste. In any case, welcome to BGG - I hope you'll stick around and perhaps find inspiration to elevate your game designs to a higher incarnation.
