For the feel of a western, how does this compare to Bang!? I know that is a lighter, quicker card game. But what other differences and/or comparisons can be made to the general mood environment created by these 2 games?

Gunslinger is a complex game compared to Bang! (10 pages or so of rules in small lettering).

The game turns feel like slow-motion at first. The western feel is much-much better and the game overall is much more detailed.

If you are not used to the old AH games you will have some difficulty with the rules. The good thing is that the rules are divided into chapters so you can learn the first chapter, play the first scenario a couple of times and then move to the next chapter.

If you are willing to invest the time to learn it, it is a very good game.

Bang! on the other hand is a fun light game without much detail and plenty of luck. Good for a laugh but if you want a more detailed game go for Gunslinger.
