The Soviet-Polish offensive does not seem to be going well, but the Soviets are advancing toward our position in Trigubovo. Your instructions are to advance, engage and destroy them.
The village of Trigubovo is only a few kilometers away. Our 290th Infantry Division is tasked with capturing it. Your instructions are to advance, engage and destroy any Germans you encounter.
German Victory Conditions:
Victory: More Soviet units are eliminated than German units.
Defeat: More German units are eliminated than Soviet units.
Soviet Victory Conditions:
Victory: More German units are eliminated than Soviet units by the completion of your 10th order.
Draw: An equal number of units are lost by the completion of your 10th order.
Defeat: More Soviet units are eliminated than German units by the completion of your 10th order.
Design Notes: This scenario has both sides advancing with relatively small force pools. These are relatively weak Soviet units and average German units.
Historical Note: Part of the Spas-Domensk offensive operation, the Battle of Lenino was a joint Soviet-Polish operation on October 1-13, 1943, attempting to clear Lenino of its German occupiers. While the attack was a failure the Germans could not take advantage with a counter-attack, simply delaying their removal from the region.
