Lost in thought.
Tonight I'm almost finished reading the first post of Is the hobby fragmenting or diluting down? when the shock wave from an explosion 10 miles away shakes my house and brings all my neighbors outside at 10:00 pm to figure out what just happened. We soon realize it was due to a bridge implosion near downtown.
As I return to the post and pick up where I left off, I find my place here:
... the polarization of the hobby: those not content...
When I continue reading, two words immediately catch my attention:
... with the gateway explosion gravitating to the furthest niche of a niche group and searching through an ever shrinking group of "hardcore" offerings.
Eventually in a decade or so it may all even out, the bubble will burst, Kickstarter will implode in a legal firestorm, and balance will return to the force.
I begin to think "what a weird coincidence, what are the odds those words would appear next?" when I remember having just read another thread only minutes earlier this evening: Odds of succeeding at a 1-in-a-million chance.
Ok, consider my mind "blown" now.
