There is a duck in every game. You may not see it, but it's there.

There are few people's deaths I can imagine affecting as much as this. Roger Ebert was quite simply the best Movie Reviewer we have had in the United States. He was Whitty, sharp, knowedgeable and without peer in the industry. And perhaps, above all, he had integrity. you he didn't mince words about his politics, but it never stopped him from wirting good reviews.

Roger had slowed down writing reviews recently and you can see that those filling in for him, were just not quite the same. Thyroid cancer claimed his life today at the Age of 70 and that was far too early.

I will miss him and his analysis of movies dearly.

Rest in Peace Roger and all my game reviews, pale shadows though they are, are dedicated to you.

I thought he was already dead.

Guess that says how much I pay attention to film critics.

That's really sad. You missed out on some great reading.

It's unfortunate. I wasn't a big fan of his since we didn't share the same viewpoint on movies, but he was fun to listen to.

He was a great critic.

Not meaning to denigrate the efforts of our reviewer community, but it would be rather interesting to see a game reviewer as critical of games as Ebert was of movies, wouldn't it?

And some great television shows. They basically wielded as much power over movie goers before the internet as Rotten Tomatoes has now.

I am sort of shocked that Siskel and Ebert both died so young, but will have my memories.

That sucks. I remember when their tv show came on after Conan.

We are all avoiding the thumbs down jokes out of respect right?
