I wish there was a way to sort by this theme. There are a horde of zombie games out there and I was looking for something more along the lines of 51st State or something similar in theme.

Criteria

Mutants/mutated humans are ok
Near or far future, doesn't matter
No Zombies

Any suggestions?

Earth Reborn has some zombies but that's not what the game is about. I would recommend it. It is a piece of art.

There is a road, no simple highway, between the dawn and the dark of night, and if you go no one may follow, that path is for your steps alone. Ripple in still water, when there is no pebble tossed, nor wind to blow.

To seek the sacred river Alph, to walk the caves of ice, to break my fast on honey dew and drink the milk of paradise... I had heard the whispered tales of immortality, the deepest mystery, from an ancient book I took a clue.

I usually mention Minion Hunter and Rogue Trooper when this question is asked.

Enormous is right! Holy components, Batman! wow

I'm not sure how I missed this one the first time around, but it looks like a slick faction-based scenario RPG. I have to admit I am intrigued, but this looks to be pretty complex, almost intimidatingly so. Still, that rating doesn't lie. But that 6 hour play time!

I'd need a new table set up in the basement for this bad boy...

This game is older than me by a year. Still, interest piqued. And recommendation appreciated!

A yet-to-be released apocalyptic RPG... looks promising. Thanks for the recommendation!

Indeed, it is. Thanks!

The only thing this game needs is more hexagons.

I think I'd need to absorb the setting more to truly enjoy this game, as it looks like there's an entire universe here.

Oooh! Paper money! There is something to be said about older games, some sort of appeal that I can't quite put into words.

Rogue trooper also looks interesting... especially great artwork and level of detail, too. It doesn't seem too complex, by the looks of it.

Thank you all for the suggestions!

And here all this time I was searching for "apocalypse" instead of "apocalyptic." shake

Perfect!

This one was on my radar. I'm giving it a second look right now, although the current votes for 2P might drive this one down a notch. Thanks!
