ok my buddy was telling me about a battleship type game where you had ships you placed on a board and then shot things at them. if you hit the right place on the ships a little peice would come flying off the top all rubber band worked. if anyone knows the game please let me know!
not sure what else was in the game, he said there was 5 ships different sized, and you shot out of a cannon type thing at little holes on the ships, some ships had more then 1 hole and the mast or little part on top of the ships would fly off when you scored a hit.

thanks a bunch

Weapons & Warriors -- Pirate Ship (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/7184) seems to fit the description, but it was released in 1996. There are two pirate ships in this one though. I picked up a copy off eBay last year and it seems pretty cool. I'm waiting for my sons to get older so we can have some good pirate battles.

Crossbow and Catapults - Sea Battle Set (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/19157) also mostly fits your description (4 pirate ships), but there are no pictures on BGG of the set.

I hope this helps.

Without a doubt, you're speaking or Torpedo Run. I had loads of fun with that game until my little brother ripped the board breakdancing on it.
