Thanks to Sky Knight X's wonderful post:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist.php3?action=view&listi...

... I decided to run a quick contest. What's at stake, you ask? Why, GG! Just give the best definition of the word "Hooby," and win the prize!

This contest will run until I get tired of it, or until the community gets tired of it, whichever comes first. I am the sole judge, so no whining about who wins and who loses. This offer void on Pluto.

Have fun!

Hooby: A derogatory name given to anyone who doesn't have the nerve to play Shocking Roulette.

Example of use: You won't play Shocking Roulette!?! You're such a hooby!

Any object used in a board game that is not a natural piece of that boardgame, in an attempt to enhance the flavor or the "bling" factor.

Say replacing the ships in that come with Pluder with ones from Pirates of the Spanish Main.

"Man - that, THAT is HOOBY I tell ya!"

Or dragging a recliner into the kitchen for the Great Dalmuti...

"Bring on the HOOBY man! Bring it on because this Dalmulti is gonna live it up in style!"

Even further the replacment of the cubes in Puerto Rico with "alternatives"... I leave it to your imagination...

"Man - I just produced 3 Tobacco - pass me some of that Hooby - but don't expect it to last till the captains phase!"

Jingles is a pretty good example of a hooby, though I question whether his mane is actually soft enough for him to be classed as a fine hooby.

Hooby be he who believes it behooves Hooby to behave with humility.

We have TWO winners! Edward Holzman and Brian Waters will share the prize for this wonderful tongue-twister that just makes me giggle. Now that we have GeekCents, I pondered giving each of them .5GG each, but hey, this was a fun effort, and I'll be generous and give each of them the 1GG apiece.

Congratulations, guys!
