Dicecar is pretty much a dice fest, with no real decisions to be made. Players roll three standard, six sided dice and move the total of the dice. If two dice come up the same number, the car can change lanes twice during the turn. If the player rolls triples, the car can change lanes three times. A successful pit stop yields a card that may be saved and used whenever the player wishes. The cards tend to do bad things to other cars or allow you to move extra spaces, change lanes or draft the car in front of you. There are also some spaces that are advantageous to land on and some that are disadvantageous to land on. Advantages allow the player to draw cards. Disadvantages slow the car down on the next turn.

The board is really a large, felt mat with a track drawn on it. It’s scaled for 1/64 scale cars, which players provide themselves. I applaud the choice of scale as 1/64 scale cars are easy to find and not all that expensive. That's about all there is to applaud where Dicecar is concerned. From a gamer’s point of view, though, there’s just not that much “game” to be found here.
