I just received this on Thursday 4/4/1213 from a Miniature Market Pre-Order. I had been waiting for it since, oh, December 2012 now. It was lumped with an order for 1989: Dawn of Freedom, Troyes: The Ladies of Troyes, and Love Letter, so you can imagine I was waiting quite expectantly. I've been enamored with the game Tammany Hall itself, as I've enjoyed a dozen or so plays on slothninja.com. So I was waiting with great expectation to see what I would get when it finally came.

Talk about GMT-styled over-production. Wow. This game--from the bits, to the board, to the box itself -- screams "I spent too little at $42.00". Thick cardboard, tons of wood meeples and cubes, all the Kickstarter stretch goals, ridiculous component quality. I am quite impressed.

I knew the game was good and worth every penny when I ordered. Now that I have received it, I am over-whelmed. I wish every game company (I am not going to name names) made efforts to create such value. I will have to keep my eyes on Pandasaurus Games.

That is all.

For perspective, the 2nd-ed stratamax edition was also pretty nice.

Yup. I have that one and don't feel the urge to buy the new edition. But there's a copy with all the kickstarter stuff around here so let's see whistle
