Ridiculous Goatee Games

I searched a bit and see this program has been discussed before but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I've been working with the battegrounds gaming engine for a play test version of my game Tavern Keeper. Originally I tried using vassal but it just requires more setup than I need to toss a few cards on the table. BGE let's me add my game board, created custom card decks and share that out to friends easily with a media pack that allows them to install the components I created. The interface has a lot of hotkeys which I had a hard time with at first but just getting more comfortable with the program was the main problem there.
There are also quite a few tutorials and even videos to help you get started. its VERY easy to create card decks with front and backs and the game has shuffle and stagger mechanics making things easier to handle. There is built in chat as well but you'll probably want to make use of a program like ventrillo to voice chat.
Anyway here are a few links to the things I mentioned, maybe it will help someone out!

Thanks for the mini write-up, Goatee.

Is your game conversion complete? Have you had a chance to use it yet for playtesting your game design? Let me know if you need any assistance.

Suggestion: Once you get more comfortable with the keyboard shortcuts, you can hide or disable the Command panel for a cleaner, interface-free look to your game. Makes for a more immersive gaming experience.
