I am having friends over for dinner, making a total group of 10 to 12. I would like to introduce a new game. This group has only played Trivial Pursuit, Catch Phrase, and Pictionary. The game recommendations should meet the following criteria:

1. a party game, emphasizing interaction and laughs over strategy
2. plays with 10 to 12 players
3. simple rules
4. under 1 hour estimated play time
5. Not Werewolf (or similar games where the group must close their eyes while actions take place)

Thanks in advance for your help.

I enjoyed playing Electronic Catchphrase and Scattergories. I don't know that this would actually be introducing new games or not but they are my favorite party games.

Electronic Catchphrase, hands down.

Pluses:
No table needed
No fiddling with cards
Quick, 10 minutes for a full game (or less)

Minuses:
An unintereted player can pretty well ruin the whole game
Can be loud
A few words are significantly more difficult than others

Apples to Apples makes a nice ice breaker because it is so very simple. I personally think it wears out it's welcome after a few rounds, so I'll also suggest Wits and Wagers.

We just played both these games last night with nix people, but are both supposed to work with 10.

p.s. You can speed the game up by having people play in teams of two.
